Bye 2012

It was 12 months ago when I blog about the top 10 memories I had. And now, here we are again, bidding goodbye to another year. It was so quick, time is very fast!

This coming year, 2013, I did a very hard decision – I am going to let go this blog. Yes, you read it write. This is going to be my last Blogger post, hopefully. For some reasons, I have to do this. For the best, I have to do this. I might write again, but I don’t know when. It is so hard for me to stop writing. It was like putting out all of my bones and telling me to walk. It has been my passion for years, my best friend when I don’t have someone to talk to, and my savior when I’m bursting of emotions and drama – it has been a very big part of my life. I’ve been trying to fit in to this kind of industry for I love this so much, I did my best to write so I can be a writer. I read a lot and learn a lot through writing. I am so sure I’m gonna miss this! Anyway, I don’t want to break out so let’s stop the drama.

You can still see this blog; I won’t delete or deactivate it. I want those memories to stay. At the end of this year and on my very last blog, I wanted to give my deepest and most sincere thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this experience. I know I’m not popular or so whatever, but I am thankful for the people who view my post, read it, interact with it and everything. To the who visited this blog from Philippines and all over the world, you made my blogger life alive! To followers and following, you gave me inspiration to continue this journey. To the topics that have been viewed by most people, I am flattered to myself for that. Ha-ha! And of course to blogger.com, I knew from the very beginning that it was a right decision to write through this website, without Blogger, this wouldn’t be possible. Last but not the least, to the Lord our God, who’s giving me the chance, opportunity and talent, thank you so much! To God be all the glory.

Have a Healthy and prosperous new year everyone!

Misa de Gallo

Very successful nights had passed by so fast. I completed the nine nights of Eucharistic Celebration for the preparation of Jesus’ first coming. CONGRATULATIONS TO ME! And of course to the entire PILGRIM (People-In-Love-Growing-Rich-In-Mercy) of the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy at Sta. Rosa, Marilao, Bulacan. It’s a bit sacrifice to make effort every night, wait for 8 in the evening, hope for a jeep (it’s hard to commute at night in that place), and went home late but all of these are always worth it for it is dedicated for the Lord. It was a wonderful and devoting experience I wish to make again next December.

Reminiscing Dream High

I am so much in love with this drama's cast, affection, and hope. I am planning to watch the complete episode again on this coming semester break. I don't know what to write but I'd continue anyway. I don't know if it's because of my so much love for Kim Soo Hyun that I'm stuck on him or his this really attention catcher, even on Moon That Embraces the Sun. He's a good actor in a way that he can effortlessly portray the role and make us fall in love and the way he cries. It's not like any other actor, his tears are real and full of emotions. Okay, at this very moment, I don't know if I'm playing bias or what but he's really that good. Another points for his voice. As we know he's not that into singing, but singing is that into him. He's playing like a professional. I will marry him! Hahaha. Insane mode, is this really to show how I reminisced the drama or loving Kim Soo Hyun? Either.
Love is in the air!

Silver Anniversary

(1987-2012) Our course Bachelor in Transportation Management celebrated our 25th year yesterday. Hooray for the silver year! Alumni gather with the whole BTM (from first to fourth year) and some of the masterminds of our course are there like Zenaida Cruz PHD and Engr. Nabor Gaviola at Sir Boy's Food Republique. It's a fun informal day where there are talks, dance, foods and more. The event start at noon and I am not late! (Congratulate me! Haha) It's more of bonding time though I'm expecting of a lot of talks from alumni like how are they now, that happened to them, etc.

BTM Reunion aka Funny friends picture taking day. Hahaha :)))))

Twin's debut

The creative and colorful invitation
Stunning twins
I got my invitation last week to this party which is in all honesty excites me because of it's cute and literally colorful invitation. It's a bit late when I got my invitation but since the first week of September, we've been talking about this debut. I went with my best friends Ricky and Chelsi - and we're late! Yunno, "Better late than never." (Strike 2 after the PICC convention. Haha!) So there, the event start. What I like about this event is that it's not the formal debut but it has the touch of the old tradition. In exchange of 18 roses, they made it 18 chocolates, 18 candles are 18 bags and 18 treasures are 18 dresses. Oh 'di ba? Ang bongga! Hahaha. The food is great too, but what I really really like are the desserts home-made by their mom. Desserts are heaven! :))) Also, it's amazing that I've seen the twins grew into beautiful, talented, awesome and God-fearing women. So now you know why they were so blessed, it's because of the last two words before this sentence. Hope they'll stay the same as time goes by. Aside from them who are the stars of the  night, friends are everywhere! It's like a mini High school reunion, it's really fun seeing old friends.

The whole gang! HS friends :)))

Funny faces!
We went home late at night, drove with fun and with Ricky's brother, we went home safely. Thank God! I stayed at Chelsi's house but the happiness continue as we skype with Ricky like we're not together before that minute. Lots of laugh, etc. We invade the night, slept at AM and late at Monday class on school. It's okay to bunk a few class, this is life. Life is fun!

4th Annual Convention

Yeay! The convention presented by the senior class is a success. Even though a bit sarcastic.

Last Saturday, we went to Philippine International Convention Center for the BTM's 4th Annual Convention. Everyone in our course is invited, so it's like a very formal acquaintance. But before that day, the weather is really bad so I had this feeling that convention's gonna be reschedule but my intuition didn't make it right. The event is rain or shine. Good thing is that the sun say hi that morning so I am eager to travel. Unfortunately, no air conditioned bus show up the whole day so I had no other choice. I went to the event safely but late. Better late than never! Hahaha.

The first speaker is almost finish about her talks when we enter the event area. And I am telling you, the event is soooo formal! As in, almost all in coats, everyone's serious and a lot more. Snacks went in, I didn't ate them all believing that there's more so I've been very hungry after the convention. Haha. Sometimes it's a bad idea to be sossy. The second speaker talk about the maritime industry, and she got me. Like I wanted to shift my dreams into it. Third speaker talk is about ITS or Intelligent Transport system - technologies, of course we are dynamic. And the last speaker cancel his appointment. Bad move. But everything is well exclude the food, the last speaker, the rain in the evening and the flood. Yes, it did flood. While we are on our way home after getting out on the train, a friend and me stop over at Jollibee. (Trivia: I am craving for Mcdonald's the whole day, and ended up on Jollibee is like a crime. Haha!) So there, we eat and chat a little but when we went out at the fast food, we are shock. And literally in state of shock that the road we are walking on just 15 minutes ago is now flooded. And another bad news, it takes me so long before I got to ride in a bus, but went home safely. Thank goodness. That's all. Anyway, here are some shots we got right after the convention, around 5PM inside PICC.

My first ukay dress!

Ukay-ukay are second hand/imported/old clothes that they sell on a cheaper price. I might not mention here before but I am finding good ukay-ukay stores in the internet 'till I found an old post from spot.ph. Aside from the stores, they also mention some tips about finding an ukay piece. Simple things like - you have to smell the clothes before trying, check holes, stitch, don't look rich in an ukay-ukay store 'cause they might give it on a higher price and more. They also mention stores in different areas in Manila. Biggest ukay-ukay found in Cubao. But I don't  have enough time to went on every ukay stores they said until I forgot that I want to go and try to buy at ukay-ukay. But last week, while walking with my college buddies to the nearest fast food for our lunch break, we saw this ukay-ukay near university. And we went in just to stroll a bit. Forgive me if I forgot the name of the store. It's a quite place and people are very few. Well, some clothes are really nice. My only tip for ukay buyers, be patient! You'll never know when will you see a good piece. I was at the last section of the clothes when I found the sweater (picture above). When I get it, I didn't want to put it down anymore. It looks so cute, like simple korean chic. It has a coat, you can use it like dress or a sweater. The second one (picture below), is found by my friend, but it's not really her type. When I see the dress, it tempt me a lot to buy it. It's so rock and chic. Very fabulous! But unfortunately, I didn't bring extra money that day. So what we do is that, we came back 2 days after.

I'm so lucky it's still there, on the very same place where I left it. I bought the two clothes for P250. I make tawad (ask for a lower price) to the seller.  The sweater is supposed to be P160, I got it on P150. The other one is P120, I got on P100.

And of course, after buying, wash the clothes first. Very. Well.
I'm very excited to wear them! More post before September ends. Yay!

Skirt, so bored

Hey. What's up everyone?

You know I just found out that everytime I blog, I do lame excuses saying "sorry Iv'e been busy." But that's always true because I got too many things stock on my head to-do. I'm busy on school cause the supposed to be midterm "week" got extended for a month. And it 's been a tough road I'm taking on right until now. But I still have time to relax, sleep (yes, but I slept 2-3 hours the night before exams) and do my things. And last Sunday, I've been very bored so I play with my clothes and do some stupid and weird things.

My attempts to fly, so fail. I jump shot my self through camera timer. Haha!

Because of my weirdo-ness, I even found a skirt I can use on the convention I'm going to attend next week.

It ends here for now. I still have files and midterms to pass to. Hope September will be awesome!

PS This is gonna be my first fashion post with label but I have done a DIY fashionable shirt before, check it out here.

The Reunion

Hey. It's been a while. I'm not really into blogging tonight but I wanna write/share something.

I went out earlier to watch movie with my best friend, a new Star Cinema film entitled The Reunion. I got a little excited to see the film myself for it has a good casting, an exciting story and of course, a thrilling high school fun. Cause I literally missed high school! And as I had this high expectations about the film, I can say that I didn't get disappointed. It was real fun - a total package! Good actors and actresses came out portraying roles and they give justice to each of it, they got my humor (or should I say almost all the people on the theater laugh as I did) and the story came out as a whole riot but ended up peacefully.

I don't want to spoil people who haven't watch it yet. And of course, like my review/talks about movies or books, I don't give such things that would spoil you. You know this is another damn review. But I will end up posting this. All I want you to know is that you have to watch the film, especially with peers or barkadas because it will tighten your friendships. You won't regret watching it.

PS. Kudos to Mr. Franco Mortiz for this fantastic film!

Seventeenth

It goes far better than I expected.

I turned seventeen last Tuesday and I don't think of having good celebration with people. Just a simple family lunch/dinner. But this birthday is so good that it lasts for a week! Yes, another long week birthday celebration. It was fun and a great experience. My birthday is on 24th of July (Tuesday). Fortunately, I have Tuesday as my rest day in university but I still woke up early that morning to attend mass. To thank God for another year of existence, hopes and dreams and mission.

Dress, laces and stockings. Outfit for mass.
Then after the mass I went out with my mama and sister to eat lunch somewhere. Nido soup, pancit and Crispy pata. Thank you so much for their treat! After we ate, we stroll a little and buy a new book.

With Mama at Gerry's Grill

Had a hard time finding it on bookstore but I got my own copy! :)
We went home early to rest cause I had class the next day. Then the next day (Wednesday), my friends keep on teasing me and pushing me to treat them lunch cause it's my birthday. We have this "treat-us-if-its-your-birthday" thing with my college friends. I had no choice. Haha! But I'm a bit broke so I just treat them with a gallon of ice cream and Stik-O strawberry sticks which is very yummy! We almost forgot the time so we hurriedly went back to the campus for the next subject to find out that the professor won't attend the class. Then, we hang there for a while. It was a 3 hours of freedom and we decided to go karaoke for an hour. I know I'm a terrible singer but I sang a lot because it's my birthday. Haha. And I hang  out with some people for the first time that I didn't think I would hang out with. They're nice. And again, we exceeded with fun and got late for the next subject but we're still lucky to get on university before the professor comes. Though it was just a few minutes interval between us and the professor. Saved again! Because the professor forgot her materials and not in the good mood so we dismissed early! I have this good fortune the whole day. Lucky me.

Thursday and Friday is rest day. Lazy me.
Saturday, I got whole day classes. Concentrate on the class and on being student for a while.

Sunday, we went on mass. Had lunch at home with some visitors and prepare for my guests on the afternoon. It was my Uncle's idea to prepare and cook for a little celebration. Big thanks to him! I invited high school friends here at home. We eat, sing, drink and have fun. I missed every little thing about them and about high school! I'm really glad that we can still get together once in a while.

Foods! Roll cake, fried and saucy chicken, different kind of siomai, shanghai, spaghetti  and yang chao rice!
Bestfriend <3 (I'm so haggard)
Friends! Showing the entire house to them.
The people who made the day unforgettable (L-R: Chelsi, Ricky, Jenny, Me, Kurt, Dave, Jumbx and Gary)
My sister and cousins. I look so tired!
Oreo cake from Violet's Creation
Then, Monday, classes are suspended. It means birthday is extended! Hahaha. Couple of drinks are left unopen. We gave it back to the store in exchange for... ice cream! Yeees! Did I forgot to said I don't have voice? I don't really know what happened. Maybe I ate a lot of sweets the whole week. Even before Sunday, I had this husky voice on and off. And after the party, I am voiceless. And still eat foods that I must not eat.

Anyway, I'm recovering.

So that's how I spent the whole week. I want to thank again everyone who greeted me, gave me presents, hang out with me and went on my celebration. Thank you for everyone who made this week possible and fun. Great God, highest thanks to you!

I'm back to reading!

Siguro nung panahong yun, wala talaga kong alam. As in wala talaga. Hindi naman sa guilty o deffensive ako. I just find it very intriguing na umabot pa ko sa pagsusulat nito.

Asian for particular.

At marami pang ibang dahilan. Basta I'm proud Filipina.

It's been a long time since I came around...

Home for me means being in a place where you feel warmth, love, comfort, and happiness. And I always call Valenzuela City a home for me because I grew up there and made a lot of memories. Also, people who are really close in my heart live there.

Yesterday, I went there to visit my alma mater. The yearbook of our batch was already released and I went to get my copy. I meet long time friends and talk, laugh, eat and more. We visit the High school building and a big change happened there. The school looks so good... and rich. Haha! New teachers, familiar faces, old routines and some places are still there with a bunch of memories we've left. It feels like it's been a long time. Two years since I graduated made a lot of difference. But it feels so good being back to the place you used to live. And I felt the same happiness I feel once again, with my friends and mentors who molded me to become a great person. I feel so blessed and I forgot my stress and problems for a couple of hours.

That's my alma mater, so proud!
When I got my yearbook and about to go home, I can't stop the excitement to touch and read some pages. The faces of my friends, peers, class mates, brothers and sisters - I missed them all! The forthcoming glance - oh, I can't say anything. I'm about to cry when I read it. Seriously. I remember my dreams and goals and the things I want to do in my life. And how it change me 2 years ago.

Some dreams might not be as perfect as what it is written in that forthcoming glance, but it touched me and put a heart on my ambitions. I'm glad it was written. And I'm glad I knew this people.

I feel so great.

I missed writing scripts and shooting films

Hi. This might be my first post for this month. I’ve been lazy for a while doing blogger things and stuffs but I’m still updating, anyway. Title says it all. I do write scripts for skit, short plays and films when I was in High School. Writing is my passion where I can write anything I want to wth my informal grammar, sensitive thinking and creative way. But writing for some people or purpose is a different thing. I’ve been very unprofessional and immature writer way back in high school but that helps me improved in the way that I do now. Directing film is also one of my special tees. Haha! But I’m not professional. I just love to interrupt people at the shoot and say what’s on my mind and that’s creativity. But I tell you, we were all young then and we don’t care about the rules or ways. We just want to pass the subjects so we comply with that requirement. But doing that stuff is really fun and in a way, I miss it. A lot!

I really missed late-night shoots! Haha. I can’t find the other pictures, it’s been so long.

Dream High

I am in the middle of enjoying my summer vacation when Dream High was aired in the Philippines. I have no idea about how the story goes, who's going to be a superstar or what. But after few weeks of watching this drama, they got me in.

Dream High started in year 2018, as we ride on this drama's time machine to the future, we see Director/Jung Ha-Myung on his TV interview about K, who owns the pendant. And as the story continues, it went back to the current year where the six leads starts their own different stories, struggling  to meet goals and success in their lives.

I won't tell as much as I can about the drama because a lot of spoilers are written for all of you. But for a good one, I suggest dramabeans.com because they have written amazing recaps in every episode. (They should notice me for the ads. Hah! Kidding.) I love this drama, for real. First, I am amazed how dreams and goals in life are achieved in here. Even some dream's are not that perfect that you can meet what exactly you want. Still, they got success in a different way that maybe is the best option. Second, I love  almost all of the performances. Especially when I watched their cover of SNSD's Genie! That's how they get me into this kdrama. After Genie, I fall harder on every sing and dance they do. And third, I got really hooked on the six leads especially to Marco/Sam Dong or Kim Soo Hyun. I always see the Sam Dong in his face and acts, I can feel his emotions through his undeniable talent. And another points for his singing. I love the fact that he really didn't sing at all. I bet he's really a good actor.

And I love the ending, even though I hate the fact that it's the last. I still love it because Marco/Sam Dong gets the K and the girl. And after being the first korean in Grammy's, the drama didn't end up with him. As it all started with Kelly Go/Go Hye-mi, it ended with her.
"..But I say, if you loved Dream High, you’re a winner. Cheers!" - Girlfriday, dramabeans.com

This drama is one of my favorite! Anyway, I only have few dramas in my list. Meteor Garden, Secret Garden

... and Dream High complete the lists. :)

And another reminder, always push hard, strive and do your best, and Dream High. Fighting!
