Run for a Safety Road

My block mates/Transportation Mngt. students

Last Sunday (November 20, 2011), We went to SM Mall off Asia Concert Grounds to celebrate the "World Remembrance Day" for Road Traffic Victims. The 3rd Sunday of November every year has been declared by the United Nations as Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims. The day is created as a means to give recognition to victims of traffic crashes and the plight of their loved ones who must cope with the emotional and practical consequences of these tragedies.

The program starts for about 4PM, TM students, coast guards, and other guests participated for a 3 and 5 kilometer run. (I was a little bit late that time). After the fun run, they announced the winners for the different activities such as slogan making, poster making contest and the fastest runner. Then about 6:30PM we started the lighting of lanterns. It was my first time doing that kind of thing and I had never imagined that lighting of lantern was that hard and scary. (You need to light the candle and hold the lantern and wait  for it to accumulate the needed air for it to fly).

It was hard but it was really fun. So after lighting a lot of lanterns, I've been a veteran. Haha. And FYI, the lanterns symbolizes the lives of every road victims. And we had a total of 12,000 lanterns there. After the lighting of lanterns, we watched the fireworks display. It was an awesome night. Also, after the run, we had received a necklace with a tag "Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011- 2020)".

After the event, I'm still asking everyone of you to STAY SAFE. FOLLOW THE RULES IN ROAD AND BE AWARE. As my slogan says, Knows road safety, No injury. No road safety, Knows injury. BE CAREFUL GUYS! Always have a safe trip.

Thank you for the sponsors of the event: Shell, Jollibee and Pocari Sweat
(Sorry I don't know the others) :)

Experience Bataan

After getting so disappointed for a first hell week of October, the second week retrieve its 'hellness' and give back a good karma.

In my whole life, I've only been in Bataan twice. The second time happened just last week (October 9-11, 2011). The CTHTM Travel and Tours Agency offered an open tour for BTM students and after a professor required this tour for a specific subject, we grabbed the opportunity not to missed it. Sunday, the 9th day of October, we met on our university department at 4AM. Because the road is not congested during the dawn, I arrived exactly at the given time. Although, some problems happened that day that caused us to depart late as 6AM. But after all, the tour went very well.

At Bataan Tourism Center

Meet Hazel, my seatmate on the bus

Imagine how high it was (302 ft.)
From the entrance of the resort

BTM fellas!
DAY 1
Before having lunch, we already arrived at Bataan.
First stop is Bataan Tourism Center where you can buy some pasalubong stuffs like Araro cookies and key chains which I bought. Next is Mt. Samat where you can see the 302ft. cross known as Dambana ng Kagitingan. From there, we went straight to the resort where we stayed for 3 nights.

West Nuk Beach

DAY 2
Early in the morning after they feed us breakfast, we went to the West Nuk Beach. A beautiful beach hidden after the zigzag road in Bataan power plant. We had activities there and we got the second place (out of three other teams). After playing hard, we played with the strong waves of the sea, so good and so refreshing!

So active!

THE BUS: Beep! Beep! Beep! aka Yellow Team
Girls <3
 DAY 3
I can't move my body anymore! Hahaha. I've been in water for the last 48 hours of my life in Bataan but see me in Day 3, I'm still alive and kickin'! I just want to enjoy and had the best of it (for me to have no regrets at all).

After having lunch, we bid our goodbye with the resort. Good bye to the wonderful jacuzzi, swimming pools, playing area, small-fishes-that-bites-foot, to Justine 2 (our room that made us not to sleep there again!), to Justine 1 (the other room of girls where we sleep on the 2nd night), to the servants of food, to the delicious foods since day 1 that made us really FAT! To the unforgettable experience in Morong, Bataan's Vista Venice. Adios.

Good morning room mates!

We went here after leaving checking out at the resort
Did you know? That Pawikan Conservation Center in Bataan is not supported by the government. They don't want to get salary from the superiors because with money, the act of voluntarism might disappear. They are awesome people who loves the earth. Let us support them. SAVE TURTLES. SAVE OUR SEAS. OUR FUTURE.

I 99% enjoyed the whole package tour. Although, there are places which is under renovation, not in good quality, doesn't have electric energies/power (because of the typhoons that made this tour delayed). Things are not perfect to be fitted in this world. I'm really glad that I get back in Manila in good health (no worries for mom). And now I'm embracing Bulacan with an evenly tan skin and aching muscles. But it's been a week, and I have recovered from the haggardness. Thanks God!

What had happened for the whole week is AWESOME!

So here, internet connection is crap again. I’m loaded. And I can’t finish these things without this internet stuffs, etc. I’ve been going through here and there these few days and now I’m back to work again as an achiever student. Well, I really need to prioritize things but since I’m still waiting for the internet to be not-so-cruel tonight, I will share some things that happened for the whole week.

July 24, Sunday

It’s my birthday and I turned sixteen. For me, this day was just ordinary yet so blessed. I can’t go party-ing all day because of loaded school works. But I’d enjoyed the whole day with God and with my relatives. And I’m happy because my Mom called.

July 25, Monday

It was a National Walk-out Day for all PUP’ians. It was President Noy’s second state of the nation address and some of the iskolar ng bayan went to Batasang Pambansa to rally including some of my classmates but excluding me. The Walk-out was said to be permitted by the PUP president and our College Dean but some of professors still attended their classes, especially my professor in my last subject. This is an exhausting day because we have to attend our last subject after staying and sitting pretty for long hours.

Also, I treated my college friends at Jollibee because of my birthday.

July 26, Tuesday

Normal class again, lot of stuffs, etc. I’m tired.

July 27, Wednesday

No class but it’s still exhausting because I did a lot of things. And I found out that my peer, Niño will leave our country on Saturday. So, I panic! We are planning to have a surprise farewell party but we ran out of time because his flight is all of a sudden. We didn’t end up doing our plan A because it can’t compromise with our schooling schedules. But out of all the cram, we still and still have other plans.

July 28, Thursday

I’m cramming both with school works and farewell party. I really need to multitask. There’s lecturing professor in the front, I listen to her while texting my peers about our plan. We planned it on Friday night, after our classes. The original plan is to have a set-up snack at some place with Niño and his best friends. Then, we will surprise him on the venue (something like that). I found out that the said venue is unavailable due to floods. So, we set another venue but it ended up doing it in Niño’s place.

July 29, Friday

I don’t have class every Friday but unfortunately, I have to attend this seminar that will last until 5PM. Good thing, it ended as early as 4PM. The plan was good and we are going at Niño’s place for like, 6PM. We met near our Alma Mater, I came there at 6:30PM not knowing that there’s a typhoon and it was raining hard in Valenzuela. Then, all of us we went to Niño’s and we all look like a fresh-from-a-bath-without-wiping-ourselves-with-towel. WE ARE SURPRISED THAT WE WILL ARRIVE AT NIÑO’S PLACE LIKE WE ARE FROM SWIMMING POOLS! It was embarrassing yet funny moment because he was surprised on our looks. Fortunately, I have extra shirts and pants that day. It was raining the whole night but we’ve touched Niño’s heart because a lot of us went there, especially paulinians family. I went home early because our house is far. Some of them went home at the middle of the night (midnight). I’m happy that we still had that farewell party and I see all of them, my peers. I missed them a lot!

July 30, Saturday

I have long quiz on my class so I need to woke-up. After class, I went to hospital to visit my friend, Jomar. He was sick for the whole week and he didn’t even make it on Niño’s farewell. So, we take a visit and he’s really sick. He grows thinner and his skin was pale because of many injections... but I can see him laughing that day because of us, maybe. Thank God, he already went out last night.

July 31, Sunday

It’s a long week celebration, my best friends and I went to SM Mall of Asia to have fun. The sun is crying so we didn’t enjoy the place that much. But the important thing is, WE HAD FUN!

And now, I’m back on my schooling. I need to finish a lot of paper works. Next week will be our midterm, so... break a leg! See you all after a good week of studying. AJA!

Secret Garden

It was not planned to blog today. But I'm just interested to share this blog about why men would love Secret Garden? Secret Garden is a Korean drama which tells a story about a seems-to-be perfect man and a poor stunt woman. This drama is not like the others, I supposed. And it became one of my favorite dramas.

When the pilot episode was shown in the Philippines, I watched it and tweet every moment. But I'm spoiled so I buy DVD copy and finish it for weeks. I really loved the twists, the moments, the arguments, the love. Everything! It was an amazing drama ever. Hahahaha. And I'm soooo much hooked with the main character Hyun Bin. He also played at other dramas before like Kim Sam Soon (that was also shown in the Philippines) and A Millionaire's First Love that I watched months ago. Anyway, we're getting far, so here's the link: Why Men Would Love Secret Garden. Credits to http://otayamin.wordpress.com/ and kudos for loving SeGa soooo much!

Anong kailangan mo?

Born this way

"Some people are just born this way."
Click here for Maria's Good Morning America guesting.

Did you remember Maria Aragon? I posted the link of her video here before. And I absolutely don't know that she was a full-blooded Filipino. She was nothing but perfectly amazing. Imagine this, she was known as a Youtube sensation and already had a concert with Lady Gaga. What a fortunate kid. She was only 10 years old. I hope that she is really the future. :)

She is future

I'm supposed to write a journal about what had happened today but the time is too limited to stay long on my personal vices. So, I would just let you to see this video and if you haven't seen this before, I'm advising you to watch it. Probably, it would make you feel *boom*. I really appreciate the child when she was singing this Born This Way by Lady Gaga.

Food Blogging?

credits to owner

Blog. Blog. I can't blog tonight. Internet connection became as stubborn as I am. Darn. I have a long way to go. Nakaka.... Zzz.

No classes!

No classes today due to our busy weekend last January 8 and 9. We had visitors in school from FAPE and Department of Education Certifiers. They are about to observe our school and if we can pass it, they will level up some facilities andwill give a scholarship for the upcoming freshmen students. Fortunately, my adviser told us that there is a big possibility that we can surpass their observation in our campus yesterday. We are all exhausted the whole weekend, especially the senior students. We really gave out our full effort to help the school and maintain it until Monday. That's why we're rewarded to have rest for one day.

Ang lalaking mukhang jejemon.

I can't help not to blog. I really missed blogging, even if I just said nothing.

Kanina habang pauwi, may nakasabay akong dalawang medyo batang-matandang dalawang lalaki. Aba! Kabitbahay niya yata si Master. Napangiti na lang ako. Sa kwento niya... at sa mukha niya. :)

What's happening?

I've been busy for so long. Got too tired from schooling and can't even get the chance to touch this keyboard. I'm wakeful+exhausted. Today was like yesterday and Thursday... I stayed on school until 6:30PM or pass to deal about many things. On Monday, a visitor will come on my nearly Alma Mater. They will going to query about what and when. And the tit for tat: if we can pass that, they will give scholarships for incoming freshmen and maybe they will allot fund for more home rooms. :) Isn't it exciting and fun to help for your incoming future siblings?

FunFun Friday!

Hey Army,

I lost my control, especially my control for my emotions. :)

Yesterday was a big boom. It was terrific. It was my last Christmas party in High School. Everything last, my English teacher said. Yes, it was. Everything last but we have to accept facts like that. Okay, let's move on. It was 3 hours of exciting moments; games, gifts, everything, it was FULL.. and it was fun. I was an energetic player that day but my being HB all day is unavoidable. I didn't control my emotions, freaky. Then, after exchanging gifts and taking pictures the party was over but the fun is not.

12Noon. We jump on to our vehicle and travel to reach Pasay and take a break at Star City. Excited much? Yes, I did. I only have 4 hours of rest because of that gimmick.

Hot headed and hot feelings. We even thought of sana hindi na tayo nag-star city, dapat nag-SM na lang tayo and dapat nag-swimming na lang tayo. Hopefully, we reached Pasay. We consumed our 2 hours in road. Over. Then, we gathered moneys and I was the appointed one to buy tickets. After getting to entrance, we directly went to restroom to have some re-touch. Then after that, we started riding the rides and entering those house or stuffs like Gabi ng lagim, etc.

First stop: Blizzard. :) Even before (when I was younger), blizzard is always the first one that we're riding. Blizzard is fun, it appeased my body.

After blizzard, we enter 3 haunted house, the tunnel, pirates, and many more.. We rode in the Wild river, Viking, Pirate of the Carribean, and Ferris Wheel.

Last stop: Ferris Wheel. :) I don't know why I got nervous. I did shout to overcome my nervous and it was effective, it is. After how many rotations I can even look down on the ground without being giddy. It was my last ride. With my friends, my fellows.

Unfortunately, we have to go home after the last ride and 'unfortunately' we have to commute. The most difficult part of the day&night is the part where the jeepneys are all full and we can't even get into it. We scattered on the that part. We need to go home even we're not together. Then, we did go home.

1:07AM. We reached our home. I lay down and sleep. Zzzzz.

Pamilya?

Found this on Ann Li's plixi. "Ang Magagawa ko Upang Mapaunlad Ang Aking Pamilya." Haaay, => All about FAMILY. *sigh* I miss my parents, both of THEM. I miss my mother, her sweetness, her cares, her lullabies, everything. I miss my father, whom (I thought) I can look up to no matter how tall I get.
Everything changes. Some are for us, the rest is for someone else's... Well, I never blame anyone for what's happening in this troublesome world.
Off to the topic. Christmas is coming! I feel the fog, the decorations, the smell of delicious foods, and everything! But I'm completely incomplete at all. I have NO family. The best thing about Christmas, FAMILY. I don't have my parents or some reliable relatives here. Haay, house is not a home at all, freaking bad! The only thing I have now is my S&F. My sister and friends. They are the only two or more persons whom I can call, family. In heart but not in blood. Well, they are my family even they were not connected with me that much. I love them!

I'm becoming baroque again. Hahahaha.
