Bye 2012

It was 12 months ago when I blog about the top 10 memories I had. And now, here we are again, bidding goodbye to another year. It was so quick, time is very fast!

This coming year, 2013, I did a very hard decision – I am going to let go this blog. Yes, you read it write. This is going to be my last Blogger post, hopefully. For some reasons, I have to do this. For the best, I have to do this. I might write again, but I don’t know when. It is so hard for me to stop writing. It was like putting out all of my bones and telling me to walk. It has been my passion for years, my best friend when I don’t have someone to talk to, and my savior when I’m bursting of emotions and drama – it has been a very big part of my life. I’ve been trying to fit in to this kind of industry for I love this so much, I did my best to write so I can be a writer. I read a lot and learn a lot through writing. I am so sure I’m gonna miss this! Anyway, I don’t want to break out so let’s stop the drama.

You can still see this blog; I won’t delete or deactivate it. I want those memories to stay. At the end of this year and on my very last blog, I wanted to give my deepest and most sincere thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this experience. I know I’m not popular or so whatever, but I am thankful for the people who view my post, read it, interact with it and everything. To the who visited this blog from Philippines and all over the world, you made my blogger life alive! To followers and following, you gave me inspiration to continue this journey. To the topics that have been viewed by most people, I am flattered to myself for that. Ha-ha! And of course to blogger.com, I knew from the very beginning that it was a right decision to write through this website, without Blogger, this wouldn’t be possible. Last but not the least, to the Lord our God, who’s giving me the chance, opportunity and talent, thank you so much! To God be all the glory.

Have a Healthy and prosperous new year everyone!

“Let Go and let God.”

Silver Anniversary

(1987-2012) Our course Bachelor in Transportation Management celebrated our 25th year yesterday. Hooray for the silver year! Alumni gather with the whole BTM (from first to fourth year) and some of the masterminds of our course are there like Zenaida Cruz PHD and Engr. Nabor Gaviola at Sir Boy's Food Republique. It's a fun informal day where there are talks, dance, foods and more. The event start at noon and I am not late! (Congratulate me! Haha) It's more of bonding time though I'm expecting of a lot of talks from alumni like how are they now, that happened to them, etc.

BTM Reunion aka Funny friends picture taking day. Hahaha :)))))

Twin's debut

The creative and colorful invitation
Stunning twins
I got my invitation last week to this party which is in all honesty excites me because of it's cute and literally colorful invitation. It's a bit late when I got my invitation but since the first week of September, we've been talking about this debut. I went with my best friends Ricky and Chelsi - and we're late! Yunno, "Better late than never." (Strike 2 after the PICC convention. Haha!) So there, the event start. What I like about this event is that it's not the formal debut but it has the touch of the old tradition. In exchange of 18 roses, they made it 18 chocolates, 18 candles are 18 bags and 18 treasures are 18 dresses. Oh 'di ba? Ang bongga! Hahaha. The food is great too, but what I really really like are the desserts home-made by their mom. Desserts are heaven! :))) Also, it's amazing that I've seen the twins grew into beautiful, talented, awesome and God-fearing women. So now you know why they were so blessed, it's because of the last two words before this sentence. Hope they'll stay the same as time goes by. Aside from them who are the stars of the  night, friends are everywhere! It's like a mini High school reunion, it's really fun seeing old friends.

The whole gang! HS friends :)))

Funny faces!
We went home late at night, drove with fun and with Ricky's brother, we went home safely. Thank God! I stayed at Chelsi's house but the happiness continue as we skype with Ricky like we're not together before that minute. Lots of laugh, etc. We invade the night, slept at AM and late at Monday class on school. It's okay to bunk a few class, this is life. Life is fun!

My first ukay dress!

Ukay-ukay are second hand/imported/old clothes that they sell on a cheaper price. I might not mention here before but I am finding good ukay-ukay stores in the internet 'till I found an old post from spot.ph. Aside from the stores, they also mention some tips about finding an ukay piece. Simple things like - you have to smell the clothes before trying, check holes, stitch, don't look rich in an ukay-ukay store 'cause they might give it on a higher price and more. They also mention stores in different areas in Manila. Biggest ukay-ukay found in Cubao. But I don't  have enough time to went on every ukay stores they said until I forgot that I want to go and try to buy at ukay-ukay. But last week, while walking with my college buddies to the nearest fast food for our lunch break, we saw this ukay-ukay near university. And we went in just to stroll a bit. Forgive me if I forgot the name of the store. It's a quite place and people are very few. Well, some clothes are really nice. My only tip for ukay buyers, be patient! You'll never know when will you see a good piece. I was at the last section of the clothes when I found the sweater (picture above). When I get it, I didn't want to put it down anymore. It looks so cute, like simple korean chic. It has a coat, you can use it like dress or a sweater. The second one (picture below), is found by my friend, but it's not really her type. When I see the dress, it tempt me a lot to buy it. It's so rock and chic. Very fabulous! But unfortunately, I didn't bring extra money that day. So what we do is that, we came back 2 days after.

I'm so lucky it's still there, on the very same place where I left it. I bought the two clothes for P250. I make tawad (ask for a lower price) to the seller.  The sweater is supposed to be P160, I got it on P150. The other one is P120, I got on P100.

And of course, after buying, wash the clothes first. Very. Well.
I'm very excited to wear them! More post before September ends. Yay!

Skirt, so bored

Hey. What's up everyone?

You know I just found out that everytime I blog, I do lame excuses saying "sorry Iv'e been busy." But that's always true because I got too many things stock on my head to-do. I'm busy on school cause the supposed to be midterm "week" got extended for a month. And it 's been a tough road I'm taking on right until now. But I still have time to relax, sleep (yes, but I slept 2-3 hours the night before exams) and do my things. And last Sunday, I've been very bored so I play with my clothes and do some stupid and weird things.

My attempts to fly, so fail. I jump shot my self through camera timer. Haha!

Because of my weirdo-ness, I even found a skirt I can use on the convention I'm going to attend next week.

It ends here for now. I still have files and midterms to pass to. Hope September will be awesome!

PS This is gonna be my first fashion post with label but I have done a DIY fashionable shirt before, check it out here.

Seventeenth

It goes far better than I expected.

I turned seventeen last Tuesday and I don't think of having good celebration with people. Just a simple family lunch/dinner. But this birthday is so good that it lasts for a week! Yes, another long week birthday celebration. It was fun and a great experience. My birthday is on 24th of July (Tuesday). Fortunately, I have Tuesday as my rest day in university but I still woke up early that morning to attend mass. To thank God for another year of existence, hopes and dreams and mission.

Dress, laces and stockings. Outfit for mass.
Then after the mass I went out with my mama and sister to eat lunch somewhere. Nido soup, pancit and Crispy pata. Thank you so much for their treat! After we ate, we stroll a little and buy a new book.

With Mama at Gerry's Grill

Had a hard time finding it on bookstore but I got my own copy! :)
We went home early to rest cause I had class the next day. Then the next day (Wednesday), my friends keep on teasing me and pushing me to treat them lunch cause it's my birthday. We have this "treat-us-if-its-your-birthday" thing with my college friends. I had no choice. Haha! But I'm a bit broke so I just treat them with a gallon of ice cream and Stik-O strawberry sticks which is very yummy! We almost forgot the time so we hurriedly went back to the campus for the next subject to find out that the professor won't attend the class. Then, we hang there for a while. It was a 3 hours of freedom and we decided to go karaoke for an hour. I know I'm a terrible singer but I sang a lot because it's my birthday. Haha. And I hang  out with some people for the first time that I didn't think I would hang out with. They're nice. And again, we exceeded with fun and got late for the next subject but we're still lucky to get on university before the professor comes. Though it was just a few minutes interval between us and the professor. Saved again! Because the professor forgot her materials and not in the good mood so we dismissed early! I have this good fortune the whole day. Lucky me.

Thursday and Friday is rest day. Lazy me.
Saturday, I got whole day classes. Concentrate on the class and on being student for a while.

Sunday, we went on mass. Had lunch at home with some visitors and prepare for my guests on the afternoon. It was my Uncle's idea to prepare and cook for a little celebration. Big thanks to him! I invited high school friends here at home. We eat, sing, drink and have fun. I missed every little thing about them and about high school! I'm really glad that we can still get together once in a while.

Foods! Roll cake, fried and saucy chicken, different kind of siomai, shanghai, spaghetti  and yang chao rice!
Bestfriend <3 (I'm so haggard)
Friends! Showing the entire house to them.
The people who made the day unforgettable (L-R: Chelsi, Ricky, Jenny, Me, Kurt, Dave, Jumbx and Gary)
My sister and cousins. I look so tired!
Oreo cake from Violet's Creation
Then, Monday, classes are suspended. It means birthday is extended! Hahaha. Couple of drinks are left unopen. We gave it back to the store in exchange for... ice cream! Yeees! Did I forgot to said I don't have voice? I don't really know what happened. Maybe I ate a lot of sweets the whole week. Even before Sunday, I had this husky voice on and off. And after the party, I am voiceless. And still eat foods that I must not eat.

Anyway, I'm recovering.

So that's how I spent the whole week. I want to thank again everyone who greeted me, gave me presents, hang out with me and went on my celebration. Thank you for everyone who made this week possible and fun. Great God, highest thanks to you!

I'm back to reading!

Siguro nung panahong yun, wala talaga kong alam. As in wala talaga. Hindi naman sa guilty o deffensive ako. I just find it very intriguing na umabot pa ko sa pagsusulat nito.

Asian for particular.

At marami pang ibang dahilan. Basta I'm proud Filipina.

Disappointment

Sometimes there are times in life where you are too broke, fall into pieces, and no one even cares. Where all the people who you really trust puts you down. Who the people told that they are always there are gone. Life is like this. Disappointments are always around. You'll never know. Things may go really bad and you just have to deal with it. Because at the end of the day, you have no one to trust and no one to believe in to but yourself. So be strong.

March, please be good to me!

I haven't checked this blog since Ann's birthday (January 17). I always wake up running to meet deadlines. And I only have 14 days remaining to finish everything:
* Report in Sociology (Critical theory/Neo-marxicism)
*Report in Biology (Lymphatic..)
* Report in Psychology + hand outs ( Abnormal behavior)
* Finals in Judo (I almost forgot all the positions and act in judo!)
* Library research paper about media (1 week left)
* Policies in Transportation management (MAJOR!)
* Finish Worksheets 7-14 in Biology (It's hard, I swear!)
* Final examinations
After this, second semester will end. Please help me, Lord. I'm serious I really need to study harder, so no more blog for this 2 weeks. *cross-fingers*

The Best of 2011

First semester grade. Ann Li. Christmas. Jamli poppers. Bob Ong. Retreat. Bataan. Mama. Nigahiga. Krabs. Graduation. Kimpoy Feliciano. James Reid. College. Birthday. Prom night. Planking. High school. Semester break. Summer.

What would be the top 10 best thing that happened in 2011?
You’ll find it out NOW!

10. Nigahiga
(c) Ryan Higa on Funemployed
Nigahiga, as we all know is one of the most subscribed youtuber of all time. I knew him since 2008 because of my friend, Kurt. Though, I'm not really interested to him that time. Then, time went so fast and it's now 2011. And as I was surfing the internet, I found him once again.  And this time I became really hooked with his videos, his humor and his personality. Ryan Higa is one of the best thing that happened in 2011 because in times of boredom and loneliness, I found something, someone that can make me laugh until death. Hahaha. To Ryan, I salute you for making a lot of people damn happy!

9. Prom night
Sir Marcky, one of the best adviser in the world
Top 9 is my last Promenade night in High School. Why? Because that night really went so good! The food, turn overs of senior to junior students, cottilions, dance showcase, and party was really good. Also, we had a sleepover at my friend's house and the party continued there. Drinks and foods are also amazing and the whole night is unforgettable.

8. Summer
We look so random! Haha
2011's summer made my skin so dark. (As in black!) But it made my heart so overjoyed. Two out of town excursion happened. First was my friend's birthday (Ricky) and the second is the "See Yah Later" party (both happened at Bulacan). We really had a lot of fun!

7. Bataan
Bataan with BTM loves
The 7th best thing happened last October, our 3 days Bataan tour. Before this tour, I encountered a complicated problem. But God is really great, He gave me time to relax and refresh my self. To look on the good side of life, to have fun, to escape complicated happenings and be optimistic. (That tour was supposed to be on September but due to the strong typhoons that happened, it was postponed for a bit.) Good thing is that it happened after I knew this complicated stuff. So, it was set on a perfect date. Everything about the tour is really great except the ghost and scary parts we had encountered.

6.Retreat
With the best people
Retreat (if your in a Catholic school) may be one of the best thing that happened in High School. For me, it's one of the best thing that happened the whole year! It made us realized how important our parents, and God was. It opened my mind to the possibilities that may happen in our lives. And for me, retreat is very important.

5. First sem grade
This is the first time that I am going to talk about my grades (in college). Let's just say that it was better than what I've expect but not so good than what I want. Maybe I have to push harder than what I did before so  I can achieve the grade that I want.

4. High School
Farewell hug :'(
I already graduated last April 2011 and I will really missed High School. I had treasured all the moments happened when I was still High School and I will always bring it on my heart and keep it on my basin of memories that in my life, I've been a high school-er.

3. Bob Ong
This is the real Bob Ong, I swear!

I am a Bob Ong's fan since 2008 and I was really suprised that after two years, I had a conversation with him. It happened when I message his official account on Facebook (yes, he's my friend in Facebook) about the e-book I found somewhere in the internet. To be honest, it's not really my intention to message him about that stuff but piracy is really wrong. And i know deep down in my heart that Bob will be hurt. So, I let him knew about it. Weeks before I opened my account again and I am so surprised that he answered my message and he wall post me! I was like OMG. I am really surprised! The best!

2. Ann Li
The camera's date is epic. Haha, it was wrong! That day  is 11/18/2011

With some of the loyal supporters of Ann (Annlimiteds/Pops)
I'm so lucky! Ann remembered me!
I met Ann in person and she get to know me. 2 days before her play in SM Centerpoint, I went to the rehearsal of the play to see her. (Nagbaka-sakali lang ako) The first time I went on the rehearsal, I have no idea when it was exactly. So I was failed to see her. But the second time is really unforgettable. I texted the Director of the play for the exact area where they do the rehearsals and then I went there. But it wasn't that easy because the area was closed to public. Good thing is that I met some poppers (fans) outside the rehearsal's area and we are three so it's easy to go there. Some of the actors and theater artists are walking here and there. They were so close to us (in distance). And I was so starstruck!  After the rehearsal, I get to knew the other fans and Ann. That was awesome! I went late night, haha. But it's okay! :)

1. Mama
Playing with magic posps. Haha.
Mama inside the box! Haha
I can't say I can't live without her 'cause I already did. It's really hard without her. But she's just here by my side. Again. And I will love her like the unconditional love she gave to us.

F for Style - My DIY Shirt 2

Last month I learned how to cut another t-shirt. It's called weaving. And it's a little bit hard to learn. Haha.

So here's the tutorial:

F for Style - My DIY Shirt

Fashion is just one step away.

Two months ago, I discovered how to cut and reinvent a t-shirt. It was Ann's idea. I watched her tutorial video and I remembered my old t-shirt. It was a Christmas' present to me last year by a friend and I didn't used it since then. So, I decided to make some experiments in the said t-shirt.

This is the real look of the t-shirt
First step is to cut them vertically
Then you twist it to connect them like knots. (Its kinda fail)
So what I do is to add more pieces of vertical lines and make it thinner.

It was my first try cutting t-shirts. Fun! :)
