The Best of 2011

First semester grade. Ann Li. Christmas. Jamli poppers. Bob Ong. Retreat. Bataan. Mama. Nigahiga. Krabs. Graduation. Kimpoy Feliciano. James Reid. College. Birthday. Prom night. Planking. High school. Semester break. Summer.

What would be the top 10 best thing that happened in 2011?
You’ll find it out NOW!

10. Nigahiga
(c) Ryan Higa on Funemployed
Nigahiga, as we all know is one of the most subscribed youtuber of all time. I knew him since 2008 because of my friend, Kurt. Though, I'm not really interested to him that time. Then, time went so fast and it's now 2011. And as I was surfing the internet, I found him once again.  And this time I became really hooked with his videos, his humor and his personality. Ryan Higa is one of the best thing that happened in 2011 because in times of boredom and loneliness, I found something, someone that can make me laugh until death. Hahaha. To Ryan, I salute you for making a lot of people damn happy!

9. Prom night
Sir Marcky, one of the best adviser in the world
Top 9 is my last Promenade night in High School. Why? Because that night really went so good! The food, turn overs of senior to junior students, cottilions, dance showcase, and party was really good. Also, we had a sleepover at my friend's house and the party continued there. Drinks and foods are also amazing and the whole night is unforgettable.

8. Summer
We look so random! Haha
2011's summer made my skin so dark. (As in black!) But it made my heart so overjoyed. Two out of town excursion happened. First was my friend's birthday (Ricky) and the second is the "See Yah Later" party (both happened at Bulacan). We really had a lot of fun!

7. Bataan
Bataan with BTM loves
The 7th best thing happened last October, our 3 days Bataan tour. Before this tour, I encountered a complicated problem. But God is really great, He gave me time to relax and refresh my self. To look on the good side of life, to have fun, to escape complicated happenings and be optimistic. (That tour was supposed to be on September but due to the strong typhoons that happened, it was postponed for a bit.) Good thing is that it happened after I knew this complicated stuff. So, it was set on a perfect date. Everything about the tour is really great except the ghost and scary parts we had encountered.

6.Retreat
With the best people
Retreat (if your in a Catholic school) may be one of the best thing that happened in High School. For me, it's one of the best thing that happened the whole year! It made us realized how important our parents, and God was. It opened my mind to the possibilities that may happen in our lives. And for me, retreat is very important.

5. First sem grade
This is the first time that I am going to talk about my grades (in college). Let's just say that it was better than what I've expect but not so good than what I want. Maybe I have to push harder than what I did before so  I can achieve the grade that I want.

4. High School
Farewell hug :'(
I already graduated last April 2011 and I will really missed High School. I had treasured all the moments happened when I was still High School and I will always bring it on my heart and keep it on my basin of memories that in my life, I've been a high school-er.

3. Bob Ong
This is the real Bob Ong, I swear!

I am a Bob Ong's fan since 2008 and I was really suprised that after two years, I had a conversation with him. It happened when I message his official account on Facebook (yes, he's my friend in Facebook) about the e-book I found somewhere in the internet. To be honest, it's not really my intention to message him about that stuff but piracy is really wrong. And i know deep down in my heart that Bob will be hurt. So, I let him knew about it. Weeks before I opened my account again and I am so surprised that he answered my message and he wall post me! I was like OMG. I am really surprised! The best!

2. Ann Li
The camera's date is epic. Haha, it was wrong! That day  is 11/18/2011

With some of the loyal supporters of Ann (Annlimiteds/Pops)
I'm so lucky! Ann remembered me!
I met Ann in person and she get to know me. 2 days before her play in SM Centerpoint, I went to the rehearsal of the play to see her. (Nagbaka-sakali lang ako) The first time I went on the rehearsal, I have no idea when it was exactly. So I was failed to see her. But the second time is really unforgettable. I texted the Director of the play for the exact area where they do the rehearsals and then I went there. But it wasn't that easy because the area was closed to public. Good thing is that I met some poppers (fans) outside the rehearsal's area and we are three so it's easy to go there. Some of the actors and theater artists are walking here and there. They were so close to us (in distance). And I was so starstruck!  After the rehearsal, I get to knew the other fans and Ann. That was awesome! I went late night, haha. But it's okay! :)

1. Mama
Playing with magic posps. Haha.
Mama inside the box! Haha
I can't say I can't live without her 'cause I already did. It's really hard without her. But she's just here by my side. Again. And I will love her like the unconditional love she gave to us.

Wag Lang Di Makaraos ni Eros Atalia

MAAGANG BASAHIN.

Kudos sir Eros!

Are you bored?

1. Open your PC/laptop/ipad. Click your web browser. Open youtube.com and type ‘nigahiga’. Watch his videos.

Trivia: Nigahiga is a popular YouTube channel created by Japanese-American Ryan Higa (born June 6, 1990 (age 21)). Since relocating to Las Vegas to study filmmaking at UNLV, Higa's videos are either solo efforts or videos with other people such as KevJumba. They are known for their YouTube comedy videos, which have been viewed over 1.03 billion times. As of December 2011, Higa's YouTube channel, nigahiga, has over 4.7 million subscribers, and is the second most subscribed YouTube channel of all time, surpassed only by RayWilliamJohnson. (c)

2. Open your PC/laptop/ipad. Click your web browser. Open youtube.com and type ‘Funemployed’. Watch all the episodes.

3. Open your PC/laptop/ipad. Click your web browser. Open youtube.com. Type marcelosantosiii. Watch his heartwarming short stories on videos.

4. Open your PC/laptop/ipad. Click your web browser. Open mysoju.com. Watch asian movies and/or dramas.

5. Open your PC/laptop/ipad. Click your web browser. Open shewassoshock.blogspot.com. Read all her post to kill time. Then, kill yourself. (kidding!)
Hindi naman ako ganun kasama magpayo (but maybe the last tip’s a little bad). And I hope, with these tips, you can waste your energy much better. Haha.

What's up Army?

Dear Army,

I've been having a very restful vacation right now. Though, it's sad because I can't go on line everyday (something's went wrong with connection).

For the next day, weeks, until the last day of the month, I will share a lot of pictures, post and experiences. And of course "The Best of 2011". I'm gonna end this year in an awesome way. So for tonight, I will share this one photo. We bought this outfit last Sunday, shopping with my sister and Mama.

Old red flower earrings. I'm wearing hanging England t-shirt, belted short and espadrille.

Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin

Warning: The content of this post is not a book review, book summary, or a spoiler.

SM Rosales
SM Megamall
SM Manila
SM Dasmariñas
SM Mall of Asia
SM Marilao
SM Fairview
Ali Mall (National Bookstore)
Recto (National Bookstore)
Cybermall (Eastwood)
Shangri La (Edsa)
Gateway (Cubao)

Mamatay ka man!) Oops.

Sabi nga, 'IN' for all generation!

Sana may 10th, 11th, 12,.... eternity.

Please. Stop piracy! Just support Filipino authors.

Kudos Bob Ong for another great masterpiece!

Not-so-good day

Hindi ko talaga araw ngayon.
May klase ako ng 12AM. May dalawang sasakyang nagkabanggaan bago mag-Balintawak tapos may isang jeep at truck na nagkabanggaan pagkalagpas ng Balintawak. Ang resulta, trapik. Pagkatapos nito sumakay ako ng jeep papuntang University. Huminto yung makina ng jeep. Nagmistulang statwa kami ng mga limang minuto. Tapos walang ginawa yung mamang tsuper.

Run for a Safety Road

My block mates/Transportation Mngt. students

Last Sunday (November 20, 2011), We went to SM Mall off Asia Concert Grounds to celebrate the "World Remembrance Day" for Road Traffic Victims. The 3rd Sunday of November every year has been declared by the United Nations as Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims. The day is created as a means to give recognition to victims of traffic crashes and the plight of their loved ones who must cope with the emotional and practical consequences of these tragedies.

The program starts for about 4PM, TM students, coast guards, and other guests participated for a 3 and 5 kilometer run. (I was a little bit late that time). After the fun run, they announced the winners for the different activities such as slogan making, poster making contest and the fastest runner. Then about 6:30PM we started the lighting of lanterns. It was my first time doing that kind of thing and I had never imagined that lighting of lantern was that hard and scary. (You need to light the candle and hold the lantern and wait  for it to accumulate the needed air for it to fly).

It was hard but it was really fun. So after lighting a lot of lanterns, I've been a veteran. Haha. And FYI, the lanterns symbolizes the lives of every road victims. And we had a total of 12,000 lanterns there. After the lighting of lanterns, we watched the fireworks display. It was an awesome night. Also, after the run, we had received a necklace with a tag "Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011- 2020)".

After the event, I'm still asking everyone of you to STAY SAFE. FOLLOW THE RULES IN ROAD AND BE AWARE. As my slogan says, Knows road safety, No injury. No road safety, Knows injury. BE CAREFUL GUYS! Always have a safe trip.

Thank you for the sponsors of the event: Shell, Jollibee and Pocari Sweat
(Sorry I don't know the others) :)

F for Style - My DIY Shirt

Fashion is just one step away.

Two months ago, I discovered how to cut and reinvent a t-shirt. It was Ann's idea. I watched her tutorial video and I remembered my old t-shirt. It was a Christmas' present to me last year by a friend and I didn't used it since then. So, I decided to make some experiments in the said t-shirt.

This is the real look of the t-shirt
First step is to cut them vertically
Then you twist it to connect them like knots. (Its kinda fail)
So what I do is to add more pieces of vertical lines and make it thinner.

It was my first try cutting t-shirts. Fun! :)

Experience Bataan

After getting so disappointed for a first hell week of October, the second week retrieve its 'hellness' and give back a good karma.

In my whole life, I've only been in Bataan twice. The second time happened just last week (October 9-11, 2011). The CTHTM Travel and Tours Agency offered an open tour for BTM students and after a professor required this tour for a specific subject, we grabbed the opportunity not to missed it. Sunday, the 9th day of October, we met on our university department at 4AM. Because the road is not congested during the dawn, I arrived exactly at the given time. Although, some problems happened that day that caused us to depart late as 6AM. But after all, the tour went very well.

At Bataan Tourism Center

Meet Hazel, my seatmate on the bus

Imagine how high it was (302 ft.)
From the entrance of the resort

BTM fellas!
DAY 1
Before having lunch, we already arrived at Bataan.
First stop is Bataan Tourism Center where you can buy some pasalubong stuffs like Araro cookies and key chains which I bought. Next is Mt. Samat where you can see the 302ft. cross known as Dambana ng Kagitingan. From there, we went straight to the resort where we stayed for 3 nights.

West Nuk Beach

DAY 2
Early in the morning after they feed us breakfast, we went to the West Nuk Beach. A beautiful beach hidden after the zigzag road in Bataan power plant. We had activities there and we got the second place (out of three other teams). After playing hard, we played with the strong waves of the sea, so good and so refreshing!

So active!

THE BUS: Beep! Beep! Beep! aka Yellow Team
Girls <3
 DAY 3
I can't move my body anymore! Hahaha. I've been in water for the last 48 hours of my life in Bataan but see me in Day 3, I'm still alive and kickin'! I just want to enjoy and had the best of it (for me to have no regrets at all).

After having lunch, we bid our goodbye with the resort. Good bye to the wonderful jacuzzi, swimming pools, playing area, small-fishes-that-bites-foot, to Justine 2 (our room that made us not to sleep there again!), to Justine 1 (the other room of girls where we sleep on the 2nd night), to the servants of food, to the delicious foods since day 1 that made us really FAT! To the unforgettable experience in Morong, Bataan's Vista Venice. Adios.

Good morning room mates!

We went here after leaving checking out at the resort
Did you know? That Pawikan Conservation Center in Bataan is not supported by the government. They don't want to get salary from the superiors because with money, the act of voluntarism might disappear. They are awesome people who loves the earth. Let us support them. SAVE TURTLES. SAVE OUR SEAS. OUR FUTURE.

I 99% enjoyed the whole package tour. Although, there are places which is under renovation, not in good quality, doesn't have electric energies/power (because of the typhoons that made this tour delayed). Things are not perfect to be fitted in this world. I'm really glad that I get back in Manila in good health (no worries for mom). And now I'm embracing Bulacan with an evenly tan skin and aching muscles. But it's been a week, and I have recovered from the haggardness. Thanks God!
