After getting so disappointed for a first hell week of October, the second week retrieve its 'hellness' and give back a good karma.
In my whole life, I've only been in Bataan twice. The second time happened just last week (October 9-11, 2011). The CTHTM Travel and Tours Agency offered an open tour for BTM students and after a professor required this tour for a specific subject, we grabbed the opportunity not to missed it. Sunday, the 9th day of October, we met on our university department at 4AM. Because the road is not congested during the dawn, I arrived exactly at the given time. Although, some problems happened that day that caused us to depart late as 6AM. But after all, the tour went very well.

DAY 1
Before having lunch, we already arrived at Bataan.
First stop is Bataan Tourism Center where you can buy some pasalubong stuffs like Araro cookies and key chains which I bought. Next is Mt. Samat where you can see the 302ft. cross known as Dambana ng Kagitingan. From there, we went straight to the resort where we stayed for 3 nights.

DAY 2
Early in the morning after they feed us breakfast, we went to the West Nuk Beach. A beautiful beach hidden after the zigzag road in Bataan power plant. We had activities there and we got the second place (out of three other teams). After playing hard, we played with the strong waves of the sea, so good and so refreshing!

DAY 3
I can't move my body anymore! Hahaha. I've been in water for the last 48 hours of my life in Bataan but see me in Day 3, I'm still alive and kickin'! I just want to enjoy and had the best of it (for me to have no regrets at all).
After having lunch, we bid our goodbye with the resort. Good bye to the wonderful jacuzzi, swimming pools, playing area, small-fishes-that-bites-foot, to Justine 2 (our room that made us not to sleep there again!), to Justine 1 (the other room of girls where we sleep on the 2nd night), to the servants of food, to the delicious foods since day 1 that made us really FAT! To the unforgettable experience in Morong, Bataan's Vista Venice. Adios.
Good morning room mates! |
We went here after leaving checking out at the resort |
Did you know? That Pawikan Conservation Center in Bataan is not supported by the government. They don't want to get salary from the superiors because with money, the act of voluntarism might disappear. They are awesome people who loves the earth. Let us support them. SAVE TURTLES. SAVE OUR SEAS. OUR FUTURE.
I 99% enjoyed the whole package tour. Although, there are places which is under renovation, not in good quality, doesn't have electric energies/power (because of the typhoons that made this tour delayed). Things are not perfect to be fitted in this world. I'm really glad that I get back in Manila in good health (no worries for mom). And now I'm embracing Bulacan with an evenly tan skin and aching muscles. But it's been a week, and I have recovered from the haggardness. Thanks God!
